Canada Day Camping

Well this weekend was the Canada Day weekend, which for me means "get the hell out of the capital city weekend". What a better way to do so then to paddle five hours into the wilderness with a bunch of friends. We ran the North River in Algonquin Park down to North Depot lake and spent 2 days camped out on an island. With the exception of the ten of us we saw not a sentient soul the entire time. A beaver, a baby deer, lots of turtles, and a bear cub completed the animal sitings.
