Ramblings

We had a great Mojito party last weekend. It took a few tries to get the right amount of sugar, but the muddler performed beautifully.

Our electricity went out last night for 14 hours. Got home from work to a dark and cold house. A transformer station down the street had a fire. We decided to go out for supper as cooking anything would be a pain, so we ate at our favorite Viatnamese restaurant, Chez Nam. On our way home, biking through completely black streets, we dropped by Karina and Jason's house who were drinking beer by candlelight, so we joined them. The electricity at their house came on about 22:30, so we went home only to find our electricity still off. As it was late we went to bed with the juice finally coming on this morning just before 06:00.

One of my favorite authors, Robert Jordan, has taken very ill. I hope he pulls through ok... it would be a real shame if he was not able to finish his Wheel of Time series.
